- There are safety glasses for use. Using super glue which can splatter, cleaning 3D prints with files or gouges which can snap pieces of small plastic off.
- Wait until the first layer of your print is done and has gone well before leaving your print to do its thing.
- You must watch the laser cutter while it is working.
- Be aware of others in the workshop.
- There are sharps and dangerous tools and equipment.
- Use of hammers and drills can make loud noise that can startle - make others aware before use.
Working at Height:
- The {Insert Name} operates a strict no unattended working at height policy.
- When working at height is unavoidable, it cannot be done alone.
- At least one other person must be present, and as many people as needed to ensure safe working should be there.
- For heights not exceeding 2 meters, a simple straight or A-frame ladder may be used, with the latter being preferred. At least one other person must be present.
- For heights greater than 2 meters but not exceeding 4 meters, a simple ladder may be used with an additional person at its base to help prevent the ladder from slipping.
- For heights greater than 4 meters, a specialist ladder must be used and approval must be sought in advance to undertake the work.
